BeeThreeDee Wildflower Mix

BeeThreeDee sets you up to help! Included with each purchase is a packet of wildflower seed mix. This custom blend of 19 annual & perennial wildflowers, from renown Mountain Valley Seed Company, are guaranteed to grow! Once they do, these exquisite blooms will help to promote a healthy ecosystem for bees and other pollinating insects. Why is this important?

Bees are responsible for pollinating about one in every three bites of food we eat (see this list). Without this pollination service, a flowering plant would not be able to produce its fruit. And we’re not just talking about delicious fruits like watermelon, blueberries, and apples—we’re also referring to flowering plants that turn into broccoli, almonds, and coffee. Bees also pollinate alfalfa and clover, which are crops that feed our farm animals. If bees didn’t exist, we’d be stuck with a pretty limited diet of grains (wheat, corn, and rice), fish, and sugar.

But it goes beyond food. About 250,000 types of flowering plants depend on bees for pollination—so add things like medicines and cotton clothing to the list of items on which we rely upon bees. Bees provide a tremendous benefit to our economy. Bee pollination is estimated to bring $18 billion worth of pollination services to the U.S. economy every year and about $200 billion worldwide. So, it’s not just about desiring good food; saving the bees is fundamental to our economy and worldwide food security.

Packet Contains: 5g of 19 annual & perennial wildflowers, mixed with peat moss and blue sand as a carrier.

Ban Harmful Chemicals

Ban neonicotinoids allowed by the EPA which must be re-registered by 2022 in the United States.

The European Union has already banned almost all outdoor uses of neonicotinoids following a 2018 food safety report, which determined that the pesticide is a risk to bees.
